 Children's Classes

Curriculum by Age

  • Baby & Me Classes:
These classes put a spin on the traditional "baby & me" class in that we focus on empowering the caregiver in attendance with the words, phrases and activities needed to begin bringing the new language into the life and home of baby. Caregivers are children's first language teachers. We give you the techniques you need to make the early in-home educational experience multilingual.
  • 2-3 year olds

At this age children are still developing phonetic synapses in their own language. They will expand their enunciation range by identifying a series of images and objects through music, movement and hands on activities. 2's transition from the narrated cognitive development play into basic sentence structuring with both tactile and visual tools moving closer to book and flash card based classes. Introduction to art project reinforcement of vocabulary begins. English is used in classes only for introduction of new concepts. We ask that care-givers not be in the room but stay nearby.

  • 3-5 year olds

By 3, we are able to help children structure basic sentences using animals, colors, verbs and objects through hands on activities such as puzzles and art projects, as well as through the use of our proprietary flash cards and book series. We begin assigning practice pages and online games that directly reinforce curriculum. English is used in classes only for introduction of new concepts. These classes are drop off.

  • 5 to 7 year olds

In this class, children begin working with the full 275 word functional fluency core vocabulary and are introduced to dialogue using the QTalk Method of flashcards, books and games. They will be able to begin applying the language to their everyday lives. Practice pages and online games are suggested in between classes. English is used in classes only for introduction of new concepts. These classes are drop off.

  • 8 -12 year olds

Children work with the full 275 word functional fluency core vocabulary and reinforce the use of what they have learned through role play and strategy games. They will be introduced to more complex aspects of the language, such as conjugating skills. English is used in classes only for introduction of new concepts. These classes are drop off.

Adult Classes

Our Adults always come away from their language classes remarking on how much FUN they have and how quickly they pick up a new language! On top of it, adults become conversational in a matter of weeks!

We have broken down our adult curriculum into three phases: Core 1 (Beginner), Core 2 (Intermediate), Core 3 (Advanced). Our adult class packs (ten 1-hour sessions) are designed to track the student through each language acquistion phase. After completing these classes, we deppen your exploration of the target language in conversation and literature classes if you are seeking an opportunity to keep your target language fresh!

  • INTRO I

Present, Simple Past and Simple Future Tenses:

In each class you will cover 20-40 pairs of new words (verb + object, verb + place) which can instantly be used together for everyday conversation.

From you first class on, you will be able to ask and answer dozens of questions relating to the most common situations. “Homework” consists of take-home handouts you can use to practice speaking and writing on your own. 10 minutes of review per day in between classes is recommended. Be conversation in just 10 hours of class time!

  • INTRO II and III: Compound Past, Conditional and Subjunctive Tenses

As with Core Session 1, each class will cover 20-40 new words, all attached to our one-of-a-kind QTalk visuals, allowing you easy long-term memorization without the use of translating – EVER! “Homework” will still consist of simple at-home review of handout materials that correspond to each class. The focus remains on everyday conversation – expanding your vocabulary and sophistication of tense usage.

  • Intermediate/Advanced Conversation Practice:

For those who have completed Core Session 2 or the equivalent, we offer these loosely structured practice sessions for those wishing to continue expanding their command of a language. Perfect for anyone who once spoke well and knows the language is still in there somewhere! Let our QTalk Visuals bring it all back at an incredible speed.

  • Book Clubs

Join our Book clubs to refine and deepen your knowledge of the target language! Classes will explore the cultural and historical background of authors and their works. We will also explore the  artistic foundations of the time periods through literary analysis and discussion of the books. Classes will discover short stories, current events articles, and longer books. We encourage students to contribute ideas regarding book selection!
