Meet Maurice Hazan, founder of Tribeca Language and the Q-TALK Method

• Founder of Tribeca Language and Inventor of the QTalk method

• Author of over 80 books in 10 languages worldwide

• Celebrated veteran teacher

• Sought-after speaker on the topic of Memory & Language Acquisition

The founder of the Q-Talk Method, Maurice Hazan, comes from an international and bilingual family. He was raised in France by his German/Egyptian parents, but spoke English at home! Maurice Hazan, it seems, was destined to work with language acquisition.

Twenty years ago he began teaching French in the US and started experimenting with his unique supplemental tool creations in class. He soon found that his tools were popular with fellow teachers, and such demand inspired him to launch a publishing company called Symtalk, servicing thousands of schools nationwide.

In 2005, EMC Publishing acquired SymTalk. Determined to continue the spread of his revolutionary ideas, Hazan opened Tribeca Language in 2007 to serve as both a language school for the community of Tribeca (New York City) and as a workshop for his next generation of products, now known as the QTalk Method.

Today, Tribeca Language has emerged as the premier language center in NY, and while Hazan still travels across the country to train elementary, middle and high school teachers in his acclaimed Q-Talk Method, he can still be found in the Tribeca Language basement's "workshop," where he invents new games and toys practically every day!
